How much does a fence cost?

Do I need a permit for a fence in North Grenville?
Generally, no — the Municipality of North Grenville does not require permits for residential fences. However, if you are near a road allowance, watercourse, or in certain zones, there may be requirements. We will advise you during your free consultation based on your specific property.
How long does fence installation take?
Most residential fence jobs are completed in 1–3 days depending on size and type. A standard 150ft cedar privacy fence typically takes 1–2 days. Chain link installs faster. Larger farm fence projects may take 3–5 days. We confirm timelines in your quote.
How far in advance should I book?
Spring and early summer slots fill up quickly — sometimes 4–8 weeks in advance during peak season. If you want your fence installed in May or June, we recommend getting your quote and booking in March or early April. Call us as early as possible to secure your preferred date.
Do you handle site preparation and clearing?
Yes — we own a Bobcat MT120 mini-track loader and handle all fence line clearing in-house. Overgrown vegetation, trees, stumps, uneven terrain — all dealt with before installation begins. No subcontractors, no delays. Just ask us to include site prep in your quote.
What fence type is best for privacy?
For maximum privacy, cedar board-on-board or a 6ft vinyl privacy panel are the top choices. Both provide complete visual screening. Cedar has a warmer, more natural look. Vinyl is maintenance-free. We’ll discuss the right choice during your consultation based on your property and budget.
Do you install gates?
Absolutely — gates are part of every fence project. We install single walk gates, double swing gates for vehicle access, and custom-sized gates for any opening. Gate hardware — hinges, latches, locks, and closers — is included in our quotes. Just tell us what access you need.
